Eligibility for Admission

Professing Christian young people having at least one parent who professes faith in Christ and is a member or adherent and in regular attendance of a Christian church, as well as believing young people sponsored by a Christian ministry, are eligible to apply for admission to Covenant High School. Covenant seeks to serve the whole Christian community and maintains a student body from many different Christian churches. CHS admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to CHS students. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the admission policies, scholarship and other school-administered programs.

In order to be considered for admission to Covenant High School, the following steps must be taken:

1. All forms submitted to the CHS office with the non-refundable $40.00 application fee.

2. Once all forms are in, an admission interview will be arranged.
3. All applicants will take an admissions test.
4. Students approved for admission will be guaranteed a seat only after the:

    - registration fee is paid

    - FACTS tuition payment form is returned to the office (unless paying the yearly tuition by Aug.5th).

Tuition, Fees, and Billing

The tuition is paid over ten months. A current copy of the tuition and fees schedule is available upon request from the CHS office (253-759-9570). Tuition payments are processed through FACTS, a tuition management company. Each family signs a contract with FACTS authorizing automatic withdrawals from the family’s bank account. The contract is a ten month plan, August through May. The monthly payment plan is not correlated to the school calendar. Monthly tuition payments are considered delinquent upon funds rejection from the bank. If the tuition bank draft is returned for funds rejection, a fee of $25 will be assessed. Families may choose not to participate in the automatic withdrawal program by paying the full year’s tuition and the activity fee by August 5th. Families who pay the full year’s tuition upfront will receive a $50 discount per student on the total.

Financial Aid

Tuition reduction grants may be available to those who are unable to afford the full tuition expense. Families who require such assistance are to request a financial aid form from the school office.

Re-Registration

Current CHS students must re-register each year. A space will be guaranteed only if the student registers before the assigned deadline (normally in March) and pays the registration fee. There is no application fee for returning CHS students. Students who have demonstrated a pattern of poor effort, disruptive behavior, or a negative attitude may not be allowed to re-register.

Textbooks

There is no book fee; all textbooks are the property of CHS. Students are expected to maintain books in good repair and return them at the end of the semester. Fines will be assessed for lost or damaged books.

Health Records

All students attending CHS must be current on immunizations and free from infectious diseases. Certificates of immunization and a completed health record sheet must be on file in the school office by the first day of school.
