CHS writers and artists did it again, winning far more awards than any high school in the county. CHS students won 5 of the 12 high school writing awards in the Pierce County Library Writing Contest—while competing against hundreds of students from dozens of public and private high schools in the county. In 11th-12th Poetry: Angie Le finished 1st and Will Lewellen 3rd. In 9th-10th Poetry: Quinn Sukhia finished 2nd and Avery Welch 3rd. In 11th-12th Short Story: Will Lewellen finished 3rd. In the art division, Damita Gomez finished 2nd in the 11th-12th drawing.
