Douglas Bond holds a B.A. in history from Washington Baptist College and a master's in education from St. Martin's College. He authored Duncan's War, King's Arrow, Rebel's Keep, Hostage Lands, Mr. Pipes and the British Hymnmakers, Mr. Pipes and Psalms and Hymns of the Reformation, Mr. Pipes Comes to America and Accidental Voyage. He won the Pierce County Library Foundation's "2005 Teacher Award" for encouraging students to write and appreciate the literary arts. He teaches English, civics, and history.
