Choosing a high school is a significant and difficult decision for families. You are putting your trust in an organization for not only your child’s high school experience, but for their overall education which can be a key to their future.

My name is Malisa Munoz and I am the Admissions and Development Coordinator for Covenant High School. I am also a CHS parent and have seen first-hand how this school can, and has, transformed a child’s life.

My family’s story may be a little different than yours, or it may be very familiar. My husband and I both went to public schools growing up and we didn’t even think about a private education for our own children. As our kids got older, though, we noticed a lot of changes in the public school systems that we were not comfortable with. After discussing our worries with friends, we were encouraged to consider Covenant High School as an option for our daughter.

We are so grateful for the decision we made. These past couple years at Covenant have been the most fruitful in not only our daughter’s life, but our family’s as well. As a parent, a huge relief comes when you know your child is entering an environment where she is fully supported, encouraged and prayed for; where she is challenged not only academically but spiritually; and most importantly, where Christ is at the center of everything she does.

When I asked my daughter what her favorite part about Covenant was, her immediate response was “the community.” She said her class is like a little family, which I have witnessed inside and outside of school. I am thankful for the role this tight-knit community has played in her life and her faith. It is one of the reasons I came to Covenant as an employee and why I feel so blessed in my role as admissions director.
