Covenant High School’s Christmas Art Show

Dear Covenant Community,

Last Sunday my pastor spoke on the two Advents of Christ, the one which we celebrate at this time every year, and the one to come, when our Lord returns! What joy and celebration the first Advent brings us – God becoming man in order to die, save His children from their sins, and rise from the dead!

But we as Christians should rejoice every day! Even in hard and trial-filled times, we have reason to celebrate. Jesus is coming back! We weren’t there during the time of the first Advent, but we will get to participate in the second. Praise be to God for His mercy, love, and faithfulness!

Please enjoy the work of our Art students. The start of this year has been challenging, with fewer class sessions and the COVID restrictions in place, but the students have been amazing. Their efforts are a blessing to me, and I hope they are to you.

A special thank you to Mrs. McMillan for the beautiful piano playing and to Mrs. Hope for her technical help!

“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:4-5

“So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for Him.” – Hebrews 9:28

In Christian joy,
Miss Eva Battle, Fine Arts Faculty
