Congratulations to Covenant High School’s boys and girls cross country teams!
Both teams advanced to the WIAA State Meet after qualifying at the Tri-District Championship last Thursday.
Covenant’s boys team qualified in 4th place and the girls team qualified in 2nd place for the 1B/2B division (see the official Tri-District results). The State Meet receives the top 16 boys teams and the top eight girls teams from varying districts across the state. This is the third consecutive qualifying year for the girls team and the second for the boys team under the leadership of Coach Philip Ernest.
The school would also like to wish a special congratulations to freshman Elinor Agustsson and senior Eliott Epstein who both qualified individually in the top 10, finishing in 3rd and 6th place respectively.
The WIAA State Meet takes place this Saturday, November 4 at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco, WA.
