The FAFSA, the Federal Application for Student Aid, opens on October 1. What is the FAFSA? It’s the form you need to fill out to get any financial aid from the federal government to help pay for college—it is also required by most colleges and post-graduate programs to qualify for scholarships, regardless of whether or not your family will qualify for federal aid. All seniors and their parents, regardless of income, grade point average, and post-high school plans, should plan to fill out the FAFSA as soon as possible after it opens! If you have questions about college advising, email Mrs. Rachael Shelden.
