Covenant High School would like to congratulate Vance Carpmail on being selected to represent Team USA on their zone team at the 2026 ODP National Championships. This zone team makes up the national team pipeline for our Olympic Development Program!
USAWP conducts regional and national selection tryouts each year as a part of the Olympic Development Program. Fourteen zones across the country are responsible for selecting and identifying athletes to represent their zone teams. These zone teams make up the pipeline from which the USA Olympic Water Polo Team identifies and selects athletes.
United States Water Polo has a strong history of success in the Olympic Games; most recently with the USA Women winning the gold Medal in London 2012, Rio 2016, and in Tokyo 2021 and the men winning the silver medal in Beijing 2008 and a bronze in Paris 2024.
This is an exciting opportunity and an amazing accomplishment to be accepted into this program. We are thrilled for Vance as he works hard to advance in this program!
